Jesse: She was gonna kill her boy friend?

여자가 남자친구를 죽이려고 했다고?

Celine: Yeah, she was.. I mean.. It's nothing I would do. but it was just some writing, you know.

응 그래.. 내 말은.. 내가 그랬다는 게 아니라, 이건 그냥 소설이잖아. 무슨 말인지 알겠어?

Jesse: Alright, no, no, I understand.

그래, 맞아, 알겠어.

Celine: But anyway, this stupid shrink believed everything I was telling her.

근데 어쨌든, 이 멍청한 정신과 의사가 내가 한 얘길 전부 다 믿는거야.

and it was my first time seeing her. She said she had to call the police.

그때가 진료 첫날이었는데, 그녀가 경찰을 불러야겠다고 말하는거야.

Jesse: She had to call the police?

경찰을 불렀다고?

Celine: Yeah, She was.. Marde! She was totally convinced I was really gonna do it. you know..

그래.. 그여자는 진짜.. 오 젠장!(핀볼맞추기 실패함) 그여자는 내가 진짜 그럴거라고 완전히 확신했던거지.

even though I'd explained to her it was just some writing.

내가 이건 그냥 만들어낸 얘기라고 설명했는데도 말야

She said.. looking deep into my eyes,

내 눈을 깊이 바라보면서 이렇게 말하는거야.

"The way you said it" " I know you are going to do it, the way you said it"

그게 니가 말하는 방식인거야, 난 니가 그렇게 할거란걸 알지, 그게 니가 말하는 방식이라고.

She was totally out of her mind. It was my first and last session.

그여자는 완전히 정신이 나간거였어. 그날이 진료 첫날이자 마지막 날이 됐지.
